Public Outreach Assistant

  • The Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) is a California Special District dedicated to enriching the community through our beautiful parks, diverse recreational opportunities, and events. The Public Outreach Assistant is responsible for supporting those local community events, maintaining positive relationships with district stakeholders, and creating and capturing social media content to promote the district.

 

Outdoor Facility Rental Coordinator

  • $26.00 - $26.50/hr, Seasonal/Part-Time

  • Looking for someone who is passionate about being part of CARD's mission to help people play, and who takes pride in making sure the community has fair, easy access to our outdoor spaces.
  • This person must be comfortable managing a high volume of requests via email and phone, allocating field usage accurately according to our existing policies.
  • While this position will primarily work from the office, they should enjoy getting outside and being hands-on in the parks — checking in on field conditions and staying connected to the spaces they're scheduling.

    • Nature School is an outdoor-based, first learning experience for kids ages 3-5. This program has zero screen time and is predominantly held outdoors.
