After School Program
After School Program Recreation Leader
- $16.50/hr, seasonal

- After School Program Recreation Leaders will assist children in grades 1-5 with academics, plan and facilitate structured activities, and create a safe and fun environment. We are looking for applicants who enjoy and have experience working with children, are energetic, positive role models, responsible, and have strong group management skills. Applicants must be able to work independently with a group of 15 children and ensure their wellbeing.
Inclusion Leader for After School Programs
- $17.50/hr, seasonal
- Position open until filled
- After School Program Inclusion Leaders will support elementary aged children who have diverse needs with academics and structured activities, and will help to create a successful, safe, and fun environment for participants. Inclusion Leaders will provide one-on-one or small group support with the goal of supporting participants to fully engage in the program.
- We are looking for applicants who enjoy and have experience working with children with disabilities and diverse needs, have a passion for promoting inclusion in recreational settings, are energetic, positive role models, responsible, and have strong behavior management skills.

CARD is hiring for the 2025 Aquatics Season! Under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor, the Aquatics Team will work to provide a safe and enjoyable aquatics experience for lesson participants and pool patrons.
Facilities & Events

- The Event attendant plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction during events held at CARD parks and facilities. Traditionally, the Event Attendant performs a wide variety of duties related to customer service, custodial, and maintenance to ensure our facilities are open, ready for use, and maintained throughout the event.
- This flexible part-time job works well for the working professional, a college student, or someone wanting to put a little excitement in their life on the weekends. *Please note, this position is NOT for an event planner
Summer Camps
- $16.50/hr, seasonal

- CAMP CHIDACA (Chico Day Camp) - Camp Chidaca is an ALL outdoor nature camp located at Hooker Oak Park. Camp activities include singing camp songs, hiking, creek play, arts and crafts, games, and much more. Leaders will plan and lead activities for groups of children aged 4-11. Candidates with an outdoor education background are highly desired.
- CAMP CHICO CREEK - Camp Chico Creek is a nature-based day camp for children ages 4 to 11, located in the heart of Bidwell Park. We provide outdoor exploration, build friendships, and promote a love for nature! Campers enjoy hands-on natural science labs, up-close animal visits, nature walks, arts, and crafts, building tree forts, swimming in Big Chico Creek and camp BBQ’s every Friday. Select days include guest speakers and afternoon stations with options such as yoga, talent shows, dance parties and water games. The Recreation Leader, with minimal direction from a Supervisor, Coordinator, or Director, will plan, organize, and conduct activities for recreation program participants with an emphasis on outdoor education and science. Candidates with outdoor education and science backgrounds are highly desired.
- SUMMERTIME DELIGHT - Summertime Delight is a traditional indoor and outdoor day camp. Leaders plan activities based on weekly themes. Camp activities include arts and crafts, games, daily swimming, weekly field trips to local places such as Rare Air/Cal-Skate/Bowlero/Movie Theater, and much more. Leaders work indoors and outdoors with campers aged 6-11 years old.

- Summer Camp Inclusion Aides will support elementary aged children who have diverse needs and will help to create a successful, safe, and fun environment for participants. Inclusion Aides will provide one-on-one or small group support with the goal of supporting participants to fully engage in the program. Inclusion aides allow children to attend summer camp with the extra support they need to have a fun and successful camp experience.

- Chico Area Recreation & Park District is accepting applications for staff for our summer sports camps. We are actively recruiting staff that have experience in multiple sports (preference given to applicants with baseball, basketball, football, soccer, track/running, volleyball, and personal training/fitness experience), and have a passion for positively impacting the youth of the community through sports.
Youth Sports
Flag Football Coaches & Officials

- CARD is currently looking for energetic, passionate, and kind people to staff our upcoming spring flag football programs. Staff is responsible for ensuring that all players/coaches/spectators gain a “love of the game” in a positive, safe, and age-appropriate environment while following the expectations and goals of the CARD Youth Sports Department.
