Celebrate Halloween Early at Movies in the Park: Coco – October 26th at DeGarmo Park

Mark your calendars for a magical and family-friendly Halloween celebration at this year's final Movies in the Park event, featuring Disney & Pixar's Coco! Join Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) on Saturday, October 26th, from 5–9 PM at DeGarmo Park (3428 Esplanade, Chico) for this fun, free community event.
Before the movie begins, the fun kicks off with a special Halloween Costume Contest! Show off your creativity and compete for exciting prizes—whether you're dressing as a spooky character or your favorite movie hero, this contest is sure to be a frightfully good time.
Arrive early to take advantage of our fantastic pre-movie activities, starting at 5 PM. Kids will love the bounce houses, face painting, and engaging trick-or-treat themed games. The Chico Community Band will be setting the mood with a lineup of fun cinematic tunes.
Complimentary popcorn will be available for all attendees, ensuring you have the perfect snack for the movie. In addition, a variety of local food trucks will be on-site, offering delicious snacks and drinks for purchase, from sweet treats to savory bites.
“This is the perfect way to kick off your Halloween weekend,” said Holli Drobny, Administrative Director at CARD. “We invite everyone to come out, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate the season with this free community event!”
