Nature ABC's is a time for families of children ages 0–5 to gather and enjoy an hour of fun free activities with our instructor. Join us Fridays from January 13th through May 12th for an animal visit, story time, singing and dancing, an art project and a nature walk in our beautiful park. This program is offered free of charge through funding from First 5 Butte County. Session one offered August-October and March-May only

Nature School is a first learning experience for kids ages 3-5, who are potty trained and ready for an experience away from their family. This program has zero screen time and is predominantly held outdoors. Nature kids get to visit live animals at the Nature Center, go on nature walks daily and practice nature identification along the way. We provide fun themes every two weeks and work on social emotional and school readiness skills. All units include play-based learning, healthy body movement like yoga and dancing, themed stories, songs, art projects, sensory exploration and sign language. Art classes for toddlers are a wonderful way to introduce young children to the world of creativity and expression. Our classes for toddlers often include activities that allow children to touch, feel, and manipulate different art materials such as paints, crayons, clay, and collage materials. We encourage messy play where they can explore in our art studio without making the mess in your home! We encourage free expression as we also teach very basic beginner art techniques. Parents and or caregivers are welcome to join their child during this class.

Students will crawl, jump, roll, balance and more as they gain strength and coordination. Fun games and music will make this class a winner for your preschooler. Teaching and building skills require the ability to listen and follow instruction. This class is for children who are fully self-directed and able to follow the coach’s instructions without parental guidance.

This is a perfect combination class for young dancers ages. Tap dancing develops a keen sense of rhythm, timing and musical awareness. Jazz dance introduces a stylistic dance vocabulary for a fun, funky and expressive way of dancing.

Tots will crawl, jump, roll, balance and more as they gain strength and coordination. Teaching and building skills require the ability to listen and follow instruction, parent participation may be necessary for those toddlers that need a little extra help keeping a productive and safe class for all.
