Swim Lessons

Registration Opens on April 1st at 8 AM

REGISTRATION PROCESS

STEP 1

Select your child’s class using the lesson description guide. Participants may be moved to a different class based on skills demonstrated on the first day of the session.

STEP 2

Select your class time.

STEP 3

Register for your lesson online or at the CARD Office. Registration closes at 11:59 PM the Thursday prior to the start of sessions.

Registration for swim lessons will open on-line and in office April 1, 2025

Requests for CANCELLATIONS and TRANSFERS must be received by Thursday at 10:00 AM prior to the lesson start date. Please check dates closely. Should a request be submitted after the deadline has passed, every effort will be made to fill the space. If space is filled, a CREDIT will be issued. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions unless valid emergency or medical documentation can be provided. CREDITS may be issued for medical or emergency situations with appropriate documentation.

Swim lesson certificates will be given out by swim instructors at the end of each session. Instructor recommendation does not guarantee a spot in the next swim level as it is based on current enrollment availability.

Private Adaptive Swim Lessons (Goldfish)

Adaptive swim lessons are designed for individuals (age 3 and older) with developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities. These lessons are private and with an experienced swim instructor who specializes in working with individuals with disabilities.

Private Lessons (Barracuda)

Private swimming lessons are available for swimmers of all abilities (ages 3+) looking for a personalized experience. These 1-to-1 lessons are ideal for students who learn better with individual attention, including but not limited to anxious first-time swimmers, adults who have not had the opportunity to learn how to swim, competitive swimmers who want to improve their technique, and triathletes…

Preschool Level: Water Exploration (Starfish)

When your child is ready for water independence, our Water Exploration class offers an engaging, supportive, and fun environment to foster water exploration through instructional song and play. Our experienced instructors will work with your child on basic water skills, which are the stepping stones to becoming more confident in the water!

Parent/Tot (Ducky)

For our Parent/Tot classes, you’ll be in the pool with your little ones throughout the lesson to learn new skills and soothe and cheer them on! With the help of our instructors, you and your child will work together to create a foundation of skills essential to learning how to swim that promotes water safety. Level One: Intoduction to Water Skills (Turtle)

Introduction to Water Skills starts with the basics! Participants will learn basic safety skills as well as blowing bubbles through their nose and mouth, supported front and black floats, and the first steps to learning Freestyle. Level Two: Fundamental Aquatics (Guppy)

Fundamental Aquatic Skills marks the beginning of becoming a confident swimmer! Participants will learn how to float on their tummies and back and be able to return to a vertical position without support. Level Three: Stroke Development (Stingray)

Participants, with the help of our experienced instructors, will build on the skills learned in previous lessons through supported practice in deeper waters . Level Four: Stroke Improvement (Dolphin)

With guided support from our experienced instructors, swimmers will continue to improve their aquatic skills by continual use and work on familiar strokes.
