The season of renewal is here, and with it comes the return of a beloved Chico tradition! Join the Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) for the 62nd annual Spring Jamboree on Saturday, April 12th, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Caper Acres. This free community event offers a morning filled with festive activities, family fun, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Families can explore a variety of hands-on activities throughout Caper Acres, including an exciting scavenger hunt with a sweet reward at the end from Sweet Chico Confections. Creative minds can craft their own harmonicas with the Chico Children’s Choir, while little adventurers can enjoy classic games like sack races and carrot tosses. Face painting, bounce houses, and a mini petting zoo will add to the excitement, and of course, there will be plenty of time to climb, slide, and play at the cherished Caper Acres playground. Don’t forget to capture the moment with a photo alongside the Easter Bunny!

Adding to the festive atmosphere, local musician Reece Thompson will perform live, bringing upbeat tunes to the celebration. Families can also stop by the free photo booth to snap a keepsake from the day, then grab a bite from a variety of food trucks serving delicious options for all ages. Whether you’re dancing to the music, exploring activity booths, or indulging in tasty treats, the Spring Jamboree is the perfect way to welcome the season!
