Chico Area Recreation and Park District Awards Construction Contract For New Aquatic and Recreation Center to Slater & Son

The Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) is excited to announce that at a special meeting on April 3, 2025, the Board of Directors awarded the construction contract for the new state-of-the-art aquatic and recreation center to Slater & Son This milestone marks a significant step forward in bringing a much-anticipated community asset to Chico.
“We are thrilled to be moving forward with Slater & Son to bring this incredible facility to life,” said Tom Lando, CARD’s Chairman of the Board. “This aquatic and recreation center will provide residents with new opportunities for fitness, recreation, and community gathering, and we couldn’t ask for a better partner to help make this vision a reality.”
