Our Summer Sports Camps are the ultimate way for kids ages 7-11 to stay active, build skills, and have a blast all summer! With morning or full-day options, campers will enjoy expert coaching, exciting games, and a variety of sports designed to boost confidence, teamwork, and a love for play. Whether they’re perfecting their skills or trying something new, every day is packed with fun drills, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, participants must be able to follow camp rules (Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful), be comfortable in a loud environment, be prepared to always stay with the group, and be excited to engage in our amazing program.

  • Mornings are packed with sport-specific games and FUNdamental skill-building, while afternoons offer a mix of exciting sports and engaging non-sport activities. 
  • Full-day campers will go to Rare Air Trampoline Park on Tuesday and Thursday and wrap up the week with a fun Friday movie—the perfect way to end an action-packed week!

Give your child a taste of our Sports Camp with our quick-hit, one-day session for just $10! These action-packed experiences let kids explore the excitement of camp before committing. This is a great opportunity to test if your child is ready for camp. Spots are limited—register early!

Camp Information

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, participants must be able to follow camp rules (Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful), be comfortable in a loud environment, be prepared to always stay with the group, and be excited to engage in our amazing program.

Each day, campers should bring a backpack with the following:
✔ A hearty snack
✔ A nutritious lunch
✔ Plenty of water

 Each day, full-day campers should bring a backpack with the following:
✔ Monday: Rare Air Waivers (one for Tue and one for Thu) & Permission Slip found at: www.ChicoRec.gov/perm-slip

✔ A hearty lunch and three additional snacks

To keep the focus on fun and learning, please leave all personal toys and belongings (other than those listed above) at home.

Ages: 7-11

Fee: Morning ($179), Full Day ($251)

Morning Option: 7:45 AM-12:15 PM. Drop off anytime between 7:45 AM-9:00 AM. Camp activities start at 9:00 AM (free play will be available from 7:45 AM-9:00 AM). Pick up between 12:00-12:15 PM. The morning focuses on the FUNdamentals of the sport!   

Full Day Option: 7:45 AM-5:15 PM. Drop off anytime between 7:45 AM-9:00 AM. Camp activities start at 9:00 AM (free play will be available from 7:45 AM-9:00 AM). Pick up anytime between 12:30- 5:15 PM. Full-days focus on morning FUNdamentals, with the afternoon focusing on FUN, with various activities (sports and non-sport related), and field trips to Rare Air on Tuesday and Thursday. 

Program Location: “Arron Ray Clark Memorial” Field House gym at Community Park, 1900 Dr. MLK Jr. Parkway, and the grass area in front of the gym.
