Youth Leader Program

The Youth Leader (YL) Program is the perfect opportunity for teens to develop awesome leadership and communication skills, all while being a positive role model for younger campers. If you're ready to take on a challenge and grow this summer, this is for you!

As a Youth Leader, you'll work alongside experienced staff, learn how to assist with exciting camp activities, and help create unforgettable moments for campers. Plus, you’ll gain hands-on experience in running summer camp operations. It’s the ultimate mix of fun, learning, and making a difference!

• Choose from a variety of camps: Summertime Delight, Camp Chi Da Ca, or Camp Chico Creek.
• Gain valuable leadership experience and life skills.
• Get a cool camp shirt, a YL handbook, and a certificate of participation!
• Minimum 3-week commitment (weeks must be consecutive) from June 17th - Aug 15th.

🔑 Requirements:

• Ages 14-15 (Must turn 14 by September 1st, 2025)
• Attend an orientation, interview, and camp training.

Program Fees

• Youth Leader Registration: $300  
• *Registration fees will be collected once a participant has been accepted into the program. Fees will NOT be refunded if you cancel the program based on a change in your summer plans.  Please select the weeks you can commit to carefully.

Summer Camp Options

Youth leaders can choose from a variety of camp programs such as Youth Sports camps, camp Chi-Da-Ca, camp Chico Creek, or Summertime Delight camp.  Youth leaders must commit to a minimum of 2 weeks at camps and can work for a maximum of 5 weeks, based on availability and camp enrollment. Camp selection is on a first-come, first-served basis.

**Desired camp placement is based on availability and will be determined by the program coordinator.
